Hilda C Morris

Hilda Cagle Morris, age 78, of Carthage, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 21, 2017.

A visitation will be held at Cox Memorial Funeral Home in Vass, NC on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m.

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. at Cross Hill Cemetery in Carthage with Rev. James Bolyard officiating.

Hilda was born in Fayetteville, NC to the late Robert and Rebecca Cagle. She attended Peace College, Oglethorpe University and obtained her Master’s Degree from West Virginia University. She was a passionate educator who taught school for over twenty-five years. She was a devoted wife and mother and had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Her true love in life was enjoying her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Robert “Bob” of 57 years; children, Thomas (Lisa), Morris and Keel (Jeff) Godwin; three grandchildren, Will Morris, Kate Morris and Jonah Godwin.
