Louise Peaden Tyson

Louise Peaden Tyson, age 88, of Lakeview, passed away gently into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and other times at the home of her daughter Yvonne Blake at 133 Four Corners Lane, Carthage.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Louise was born in Falkland, North Carolina on October 10, 1928 to Leslie Joel and Bessie Baker Peaden. She gave many years of service to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and community. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Debra Allen of Falkland, NC, Yvonne Blake and husband Jake of Carthage, Cathy Watson and husband Mike of Falkland, NC; brother, Linwood Earl Peaden of Falkland, NC; grandchildren, Cheryl and Matthew Muse, Justin and Kevin Blake, Crystal Cummings, Missy Wilkins, Tracy Hardee; thirteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie Joel and Bessie Baker Peaden; husband, James Albert Tyson.
