Terry Sue Wicker

Terry Sue Sistrunk Wicker, age 64, of Broadway, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at East Sanford Baptist Church,  300 North Ave, Sanford NC with Rev. Robbie Gibson, Rev. Bob Yandle and Rev. Scott Yow officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 before the service at the church and other times at the home of her sister, Kathy Matthews, 4732 St Andrews Church Road, Sanford, NC.

Terry was born in Southern Pines, North Carolina on December 30, 1952 to James Calvin Sistrunk and Peggy Frye Glover. She was a member of East Sanford Baptist Church in Sanford. She will be remembered as a woman of God who shared her faith with everyone she met. She was also a loving foster parent for over twenty years.  She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Michael “Mike” Wicker; children, Amy Fraley Cole (Marty) of Sanford, Jay Fraley (Melissa) of Cameron, Matthew Wicker of Asheboro, Dillon Wicker of Raleigh; sisters, Kathy Matthews (Donald), Kelly Martin, Karen Kehagias (Dan) all of Sanford; brother, John Phillip Saari of Sanford; grandchildren, Karson, Claybourne, Elizabeth, Graysen and Gage.

She was peceded in death by her parents, James Calvin Sistrunk and Peggy Frye Glover and a very special granddaughter, Shelby Grace Ann Cole and brother, Michael Sistrunk.
