Estella (McIntosh) Lichner

Estella McIntosh Lichner, age 85, of Vass, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at FirstHealth Hospice House.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 4:00pm at Lakeview Presbyterian Church with Pastor Julie Hughes officiating. Burial will follow at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Estella was born in Moore County on February 9, 1939, to the late John Robert and Ella Oldham McIntosh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Garner, Ruth Hughes, brother, Johnnie McIntosh.

She is survived by nieces, Lisa Hughes, Lori Hughes Mottesheard (Andy), Pamela Garner Whitesell, great nieces, Britt Biles (Lacey), Katelyn Mottesheard, great nephew, Matthew Mottesheard, great-great-nephews, Talbot Biles, Hough Biles and her feline family, Jerry and Biscuit.

Estella graduated from Vass-Lakeview High School in 1958. She worked in administration at St. Joseph's of the Pines for forty years and later served as a caretaker with Home Choice. She was a member of Lakeview Presbyterian Church. Her faith guided her throughout her life. Her church, family, and pets brought her the greatest Joy.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Moore County Humane Society.
