Mary Thomas (Beards) Pfeiffer

Mary Beards Pfeiffer, age 78, of Cameron, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 11:00am at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 350 E Massachusetts Ave, Southern Pines, NC. A reception will follow at the church.

Mary was born in New Jersey on December 31, 1945, to the late Richard and Margaret Preston Beards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Beards.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She leaves behind her husband James Pfeiffer; children, Keith Lee of New Jersey, Melissa Lee of Cameron, Deborah Kearny of New Jersey, James Pfeiffer of Canada, Lisa Lang of New Jersey, Michael Pfeiffer also of New Jersey; sisters, Veronica of Florida, Rita of New Jersey; brother, Richard Beards also of New Jersey; ten grandchildren and two great-granddaughters, one great-grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church Hand Bell Fund in memory of Mary Pfeiffer.
