Danny Ray Lane

Danny Ray Lane, age 56, of Cameron, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.

A visitation will be held at Cox Memorial Funeral Home on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Pineywood Baptist Church with Pastor Jimmy Settle, Pastor Michael Holyfield and Pastor Jason Frank officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Honors presented by Moore County Scotch Riflemen Sons of Confederate Veterans.

Danny was born in Texas on November 4, 1961 to William David and Virginia Lane. He spent his working career as a carpenter. He was a member of Moore County Scotch Riflemen Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 2001. He enjoyed watching UNC Basketball but most of all he enjoyed his family.  He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents, William David and Virginia Lane; daughter, Crystal Wiker and husband William of Franklinville; sister, Lisa Thomas of Broadway; brothers, George Lane and wife Amy of New Hill, Steven Lane and wife Jean of Cameron; grandchildren, Corbin and Hannah.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William “Bill” David Lane, Jr.
