Dorothy Mae Whiteside

Dorothy Mae Whiteside, age 76, of Sanford, formerly of Greensboro, passed away on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m at Sanctuary Deliverance Church, 3631 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27415 with Pastor Vander Purcell, Jr. and Rev. Tony Whiteside officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Dorothy was born in Guilford County on November 23, 1941 to Estella Richardson.  She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her son, Rev. Tony Whiteside and wife Sandra of Sanford; sisters, Brenda Kay Richardson, of Brown Summit, NC and Delorise Wallace and husband Lee of Florida; brothers, Garland Richardson, of Brown Summit, NC and Leroy Richardson of McCleansville, NC; grandchildren, Marcus, Gabrielle, Jonathan and wife Nicole.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Whiteside, mother, Estella Richardson and a brother, Wayne Jordan.
