Janet Kay Bennett, age 71, of Cameron, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Reaves officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
Janet was born in Siler City, North Carolina on June 16, 1946 to the late William Cleveland and Lydia Thomas Phillips. Her interests included gardening, working in her flowers and yard and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Les Bennett; daughters, Martie Taylor and husband Shannon of Cameron and Jamie Newman and husband Dale of Eagle Springs; five grandchildren, Pyper, Jordan, Roger, Christian and Walker.
