Leonard Getty Obituary

Leonard Chester Getty, age 78, of Vass (Wood Lake), passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his family.

Leonard was born in Pennsylvania on February 8, 1940 to the late William and Grace Getty. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 21 years also serving in The Vietnam War. His achievements in life were numerous but he will be remembered as a man who loved everyone and everyone loved him as well. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna Getty; children, Melissa Getty of Vass and Anthony Getty of Raleigh; sister, Dorothy Reed; brother, William Getty; grandchildren, Hunter Fulk and Hailey Fulk.

Services will be held at a later date.
