Sandra Kay Moore

Sandra Kay Oakley Moore, age 76, of Cameron, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Marty Garner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Sandra was born in Sanford, North Carolina on February 9, 1942 to Elbert and Jeanette Esther Oakley.  She spent her working career serving as a Home Health Nurse.  She was always a source of inspiration and leaves behind a harvest of memories to cherish and honor. Sandra was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She was survived by her children, Mark Knight, Kim Knight, Jason Moore and wife Charity all of Cameron and Shannon Moore of Florida; sisters, Kim Ring and husband Tim of Vass and Patricia Allen of England; eleven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Moore; parents, Elbert and Jeanette Esther Oakley; son, James “Jay” Edwards, III.
