Sarah Bradley Obituary

Sarah Lois Riggsbee Bradley, age 83, of Southern Pines, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 11, 2019 at St. Joseph of the Pines, surrounded by her family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Holmes officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall and other time at the home of Sharon and Tim Allen, 175 Oak Drive, Southern Pines, NC 28387.

Sarah was born in Cameron, North Carolina on August 8, 1936 to the late James and Georgia Riggsbee. Sarah successfully completed the CNA certification program at Sandhills Community College. She worked for a few years at various jobs. They loved to travel in their later years, mostly to visit family. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Bradford (Randolph) of New Hampshire, Sharon Allen (Tim) of Southern Pines and Gregory Bradley (Melissa) of Virginia; sister, Annie Womack Page of Southern Pines; brother, George Rosser Riggsboro (Lola) of Randleman; thirteen grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence James Bradley, daughter, Sandra Johnson, sisters, Grace and Mary, brothers, James and Thomas.
