Shawn Theodore Chavis

Shawn Theodore Chavis, age 36, of Lakeview, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Bible Tabernacle Church, 7612 NC-22, Carthage NC 28327.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Shawn was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina on December 16, 1981 to Mitchel Chavis and Ann Corder Morrison. He loved life and was always smiling and happy.  He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Morrison; sister, Shanana McKenzie and husband Brent of Lakeview; brother, Shadadoyle Chavis and wife Pam of Vass; nieces, Kortnie and Emily; nephew, Asher and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mitchel Chavis.
