Winfred Hobgood, Jr.

Winfred Hobgood, Jr., age 75, of Vass formerly of Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

Winfred was born in Georgia on February 24, 1944 to Winfred Hobgood, Sr. and Catherine Murcher Hobgood. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Hobgood (Tammy) of Vass, Terry Hobgood of Aberdeen, Brent Hobgood (Tina) of Georgia, Donny Hobgood also of Georgia; sister, Marie Hobgood of Georgia; brothers, Dexter and Rex Hobgood both of Georgia; eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred Hobgood, Sr. and Catherine Murcher Hobgood; wife, Carolyn Ann Clark; son, Brian Hobgood; sister, Yvonne Hobgood.

Services will be held in Georgia at a later date.
