Woodrow "Ted" Wilson McCormick, Jr.

Woodrow Wilson "Ted" McCormick Jr., age 64, of Cameron, passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Fox Hollow Senior Living.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home from 6 until 8 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 am at Cypress Presbyterian Church with Pastor Bebe Briggs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Ted was born in Pineville, West Virginia on November 24, 1954 to the late Woodrow Wilson McCormick Sr. and Eddwina Ownes McCormick. He spent his working career as a Tax Administrator and most recently worked for the Cumberland County Tax Department as the Real Estate Division Manager. He was a member of Cypress Presbyterian Church and enjoyed serving in various capacities. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family, friends, and dog Kipper. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him. 

He is preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Barbara Cameron McCormick. He is survived by his daughters Brenda Singleton Brent (Colin) of Arizona, Audrey Stevenson (Drew) of Cary, Carrie Meade of Durham; grandchildren, William, Elinor, and Charlie.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Presbyterian Orphanage Foundation in memory of Ted McCormick, PO Box 1, Barium Springs, NC 28010.
