James Joseph Burr

James Joseph Burr, age 57, of Cameron, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald Kivett officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.

James was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on August 30, 1962 to Joseph Burr and Patricia Brown Garrett.  He spent his working career as a plumber and enjoyed fishing but most of all he enjoy spending time with his family.  He will be forever missed but never forgotten.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Brown Garrett; daughter, Amanda Burr Wilkinson and husband Wayne of Cameron; son, Buddy Goins and wife Ryan of Cameron;  sister, Sheila Smith of Virginia; grandchildren, Cameron, Caleb and Conner; four special nieces, Patricia Goins, Terri Dorsey, Jennifer Wicker and Heather Webster.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Burr, brother, Anthony Webster.
