James "Buster" R Collins

James “Buster” Ray Collins, age 72, of Vass, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 27, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Buster was born in Moore County on May 13, 1947 to the late Raymond and Bessie Collins. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby and Jimmy. He spent his working career with civil service at Fort Bragg. He was an avid card player and also enjoyed going to car shows. But  most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be truly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dorothy Collins; daughters, Carolyn Delaney of Indiana and Christy Romine (Oscar) of Cameron; sister, Tammy Morrison of Aberdeen; grandchildren, Christina, Olivia and Christian.
