John David Santy, Sr.

John David Santy Sr., age 79, of Cameron North Carolina, formerly of Pepperell, Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Rex Presbyterian Church, 1213 Rex Road, Rex, North Carolina with Pastor Bebe Briggs CRE and Pastor Vivian Millar CRE officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in Pepperell, Massachusetts.

John was born in Lisbon, New Hampshire on February 15, 1941 to the late Herbert Moulton and Florence Ford Santy. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Katrina Dawn Tetreault.

John was a true gentleman who enjoyed making memories with his family and friends. Prior to retirement in North Carolina, he enjoyed boating fishing at his camp in New Hampshire and was always involved in some type of project. Winter months, he was known for his great Christmas displays.  Although he is known for his “Dad jokes” he is also remembered for his wise counsel and helping hands which helped him as an Elder at his Church. John will be missed until we meet again.

He is survived by his wife of 57 ½ years, Sharon Ingerson Santy; children, Leslie Anne Shinners (Jack) of Massachusetts and John D.Santy Jr (Deborah Absalon) of Texas; sister, Bette Ann O’Neill of Cameron; six grandchildren; Thomas Tetreault, Jessica Tetreault, Justyn Santy, Matthew Santy, Kamryn Santy, Jacob Knox and four great-grandchildren; Logan McCarthy, Serenity Santy, Declan Tetreault and Rowan Santy.
