Judith Ellen (Steed) McWilliams

Judith Steed McWilliams, age 67, of Pinehurst, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2020 in Pinehurst, NC , daughter of the late Joseph Newton Steed, Jr. and Julia Grice Steed. Judy was the wife of the late Kevin McWilliams.

Judy is survived by her brother, Joseph Newton Steed III (Ann) of Columbia, SC; her sister, Suzanne Steed Russell of Lexington, NC; two nephews, four nieces, three great nephews and six great nieces. She is also survived by her devoted and caring friends, Buntie Russ and Jim Austin.

Judy is a graduate of Pinecrest High School, a member of the first graduating class. Additionally, she represented North Carolina in a Miss World competition.

Judy adored her two Schnauzers and referred to them as her kids. Bristol and KT brought her much joy.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Judy will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at The Community Congregational Church, 141 N. Bennett Street, Southern Pines 28387. The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM, prior to the service.
