David "Bear" Kimball

David “Bear” Kimball, age 61, of Cameron, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2018 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chad Nall officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

David was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina on December 4, 1956 to Herbert Kimball and Rebecca Whitaker. He spent his working career with the City of Southern Pines. His strong work ethic and love of his community made him an inspiration to his family, friends and co-workers. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda Kimball; father, Herbert Kimball; children, Kevin Kimball and wife, Megan of Robbins, Jennifer Mitchell and Husband, A.J. of Carthage, Bridgett Wilson and husband, Shane of Vass; sister, Beverly Cummings of Sanford; brother, Gary Kimball of Vass, Terry Kimball of Cameron; eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Whitaker; sisters, Joyce Smith and Susan Sineath.
