David Brooks Wicker, age 68, of Cameron, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by his family.
David was born in Sanford, North Carolina on October 16, 1950 to the late James Weldon Wicker, Sr and Orene Sheffield Paulus. He had a loving and generous heart and a wonderful smile that could light up a room. He loved his family and friends dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughter, Angie Tyner of Carthage; step-father, William “Bill” Paulus of Cameron; brothers, James Wicker of Carthage, Paul Paulus of Garner and Jerry Paulus of Cameron; grandchildren, Britany Newman and Austin Newman.
