Dorothy Johanna Dold

Dorothy Ehresmann Dold, age 88, of Vass, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Pinehurst Health Care & Rehab.

Dorothy was born in St. Martin, Minnesota on October 25, 1930 to John and Rose Ehresmann. She resided at Woodlake near Vass, North Carolina for 27 years. She was an avid golfer, participated in many Woodlake activities and volunteered for “Meals on Wheels” in Vass. Prior to arriving to North Carolina, Dorothy lived in Washington, Iowa where she volunteered for the Catholic Davenport Diocese and St. James School. She also volunteered vaccinating children in Washington County for many years. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Patricia M. Sojka (Richard), Teresa M. Dold, Daniel J. Dold; brother, Jerry Ehresmann (Joan); grandchildren, Rebecca Horton (Kevin) and Carter Dold; great-grandchildren, Holden Williams and Bailey Norton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clement Paul Dold; sisters, Juletta Spanier, Katherine Tamble; brothers, Romauld and Donald Ehresmann.
