Eunice Warren Matthews

Eunice Warren Matthews, age 77, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at her home in Ormond Beach, Florida.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel , 4888 US Hwy 1 Vass NC 28394 with daughter, Cindy Matthews officiating.  Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, US Hwy 1 Lakeview NC 28350.

Eunice was born in Branford, Florida on August 5, 1941 to the late Ophus and Idellar Collins Warren. She passed away just a day after her former spouse, Henry Alton Matthews III.  Eunice was an X-Ray Technician and a homemaker.  She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Ann Matthews of Tampa, Florida; brother, Rudy Warren of Branford, Florida; grandchildren, Amelia Ruth-Ivey Lipscomb and Adam Matthews Lipscomb.  She was preceded in death by her parents Ophus and Idellar Collins Warren; her sister Genieve Warren Tribble; her brothers, Calvin Warren and Llyod Warren; and her former husband, Henry Alton Matthews III.
