James Delano Brady

James Delano Brady, age 78, of Vass, passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

James was born in Moore County on June 1, 1941 to Theodore R. and Pansy Maness Brady. He was kind and soft-spoken and leaves behind a harvest of memories to cherish and honor. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his children, Rose Marie O’Daniel of Norman, David Brady (Alice) of Vass, Sandra Brady of Charlotte, Debra McNair (Timothy) of Aberdeen, Jerald Brady (Kay Warren) of Southern Pines; sister, Jane of Vass; brothers, T.R. Brady (Judy) of Roxboro, John Brady (Mercedes) of Alaska, Isaac Brady of Franklinville; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Brady, daughter, Mary Ellen Johnson, brothers, W.C. Brady and Harry Brady.
