Joseph Paul Morton

Joseph Paul Morton, age 45, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 3, 2018 at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 6:00 p.m at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Scott Yow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Paul was born in Sanford, North Carolina on January 8, 1973 to Ronald P. Morton and Betty Jean Taylor. He was an avid N.C. State and Pittsburgh Steelers football fan.  Some of the things he enjoyed was cooking, fishing, but most of all he enjoyed his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Ronnie Morton; mother, Betty Jean Taylor; children, Kinley Morton and Nick Morton both of Cameron; companion, Erin Moore; sister, Brandi Sanderson of Cameron; brothers, Tim West and wife Michele of Vass, Frankie Morton also of Vass, Brandon Morton and fiancé Ashley of Sanford; nephews, Tyler West and wife Megan, Eric West and Jaiden Morton; best friend, Donald Best.

He was preceded in death by his stepmother, Doris Morton.
