Larry Wayne Davis

Larry “Bear” Wayne Davis, age 67, of Raeford, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at FirstHealth Hospice House, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Ashley Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Bucky Hendix officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.

Bear was born in Moore County on September 23, 1952 to the late William and Joyce Davis.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was the long time owner of Bear’s Motorcycle Shop and Bear’s Bee Farm. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dornita Ellington Davis; sons, Chester Davis (Shannon) of Robbins and Adam Davis of Southern Pines; sisters, Linda Dian Cameron of Florida and Terri Lynn Burns of Hope Mills; brothers, Tommy Lee Davis (Margaret) of Aberdeen, Richard Phillip Davis of Hoffman and Johnny Darrel Davis of Raeford; grandchildren, Carson, Luke and Rebecca.
