Nancy Carol (Deese) Graves

Nancy Deese Graves, age 71, of Cameron, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Carthage with Pastor Shane Owens officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Latisha Miller, 2389 Putnam Glendon Road, Carthage, NC 28327.

Nancy was born on February 13, 1947 to Archie Curtis and Mary Atkins Deese.  She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Nancy was a member of Worthy Matron of Eastern Star. She was always a source of inspiration and leaves behind a harvest of memories to cherish and honor. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be truly missed.

She is survived by her children, Latisha Miller (Kevin) of Carthage, Jonna Graves also of Carthage; sisters, Catherine Speer of Whispering Pines, Frances Good of West End, Joann Wesson of South Port; brothers, David Deese of Sanford; grandchildren, Grayson Godfrey, Ashley Miller and Alexis Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Graves; parents, Archie Curtis and Mary Atkins Deese; brother, Phillip Deese.
