Ronald Rogers Sparks, age 65, of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Duke Medical Center in Durham, surrounded by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Sarah Juarez, 108 Big Poplars Lane, Carthage, N. C. 28327
Ronnie was born in Scotland County on September 3, 1952 to Fred Sparks and Evalena Sparks. He was a loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his fiancé, Norma Gilmore; children, Mary Lynn Fisher and Ronald Timothy Sparks both of Dunn; sisters, Nyoke Grooms, Ruth Mae Thomas, Brenda Sue Bruce; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sparks and Evalena Sparks; sisters, Betty Lue Thomas and Corina Blackmon; brothers, Freddie and Earl Sparks.
