Sallie Ann Hill

Sallie Ann (McDougald) Hill, age 73, of Carthage, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by her family.

A private service will be held at a later date.

Sallie was born in Red Springs, North Carolina, on July 10, 1945 to the late John Albert and Mary Walters McDougald. She had most recently worked as a nursing assistant before retiring. Sallie dearly loved her family and friends and was always ready and willing to help others. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by many.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Lynn Hill of Carthage and Alison Hill Kessler (Brent) of Jamesville, New York; sisters, Mary Ann Lowe of Cameron, Mattie Elizabeth Cope of Aberdeen and Jonnie Louise Black of Vass; grandchildren, Crystal, Everly, Gannon, Merris and Madden; and great-granddaughter, Katelyn.
