Shirley Pitela Obituary

Shirley Marie Pitela, age 90, of Vass (Woodlake), passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Quail Haven Healthcare Center in Pinehurst.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Homer G.A.R. Cemetery in Homer, Illinois.

Shirley was born in Danville, Illinois on March 23, 1928 to the late Ralph and Marie O’Neil. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy. She proudly served her country in the U.S. Navy and was an avid golfer. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Pitela.
