Wesley Jair Reyes, Jr.

Wesley Jair Reyes Jr., 4 week old infant son of Robin Lynn Lagunas and Jair Reyes Casarin, of Wilson was born on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Wilson Medical Center and was called back to be with our Lord on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at Duke Medical Center.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 at 6:00 PM at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Wesley was the miracle baby that had long been awaited for.  He was born with some medical issues that led him to Duke Medical Center where he underwent multiple surgeries.  He was a fighter and came through each one like a little trooper. 

God must have needed a little “Fry Guy” to crawl through and brighten his heavenly garden.

Wesley is survived by his parents, Robin Lynn Lagunas and Jair Reyes Casarin; sisters, June Rose and Emma Marie Reyes; brother Carlos Daniel Reyes all of the home; paternal grandmother, Hortencia Reyes Casarin.

He is also survived by aunt and uncle, Michele and Steve Craven of Lakeview; cousin, Dakota Craven of Lakeview; Godparents and cousin, Lisa and Benjamin Leggett of Sanford; cousin, K.J. Hales of Cookeville, TN; great aunt and uncle, Judy and Kenneth Hales of Vass; cousin Stephanie and Roy Bailey of Vass; cousin Bryan Andersen of Sanford; cousins, Destiny Leggett and Shelby Leggett of Sanford.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Della Pearl Ferrell and William Burke Echard; uncle Wesley “D.J.” Echard.

The family requests no flowers but memorials may be made to Wesley Reyes Memorial Fund, c/o Cox Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 651, Vass, NC  28394 to assist with funeral expenses.
