William Temple Black, age 75, of Greensboro, formerly of Sanford, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Maple Grove Health & Rehab in Greensboro, with his wife by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Vaughn officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
William was born in Sanford, North Carolina on January 27, 1943 to the late Bob and Imma Black. He had a smile that could light up a room. William took great satisfaction in spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Vivian Black; children, Natalie Black, Sharon Brown and Keith Black; sisters, Diane and Jean; brothers, Steve, Robert, Jerry and Wayne; grandchildren, Caroline, Webb, Savanah, Josh, Tyler and Katie.
