Adamae (Jarvis) Reed

Adamae Jarvis Reed, age 74, of Cameron, passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at UNC Hospice in Pittsboro, North Carolina, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gregg Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake.

Adamae was born in West Virginia on August 28, 1948, to the late Howard Jarvis and Velma Smith McNemar. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Allen Reed, Jr., brother, Billy McNemar and great-grandson, Justin.

Adamae enjoyed reading, telling old stories and spending time with her family. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Jerome Allen Reed, III of Cameron; daughter, Alicia Jo Fulks (Matt) of Sanford; sisters, Donna Matson of South Carolina and Margaret Mester also of South Carolina; grandchildren, Nicholas Boardman Mackenzie Reed, Caleb Reed, Justin Hedrick, Jeremy Hedrick (Shelby), Jace Sally, Jaylee Fulks, Jessalyn Fulks; step-grandchildren, Nicholas Fulks, Taylor Fulks, Noah Fulks; great-grandchildren, Carter and Tru.
