Anna Jane (McCoy) Heaton

Anna Jane McCoy Heaton, age 85, of Goldston, North Carolina passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville surrounded by her family.

Anna was born in Moore County, North Carolina on May 4, 1938 to the late Lee Bert and Lora Lee Yarborough McCoy.  She was also preceded in death by her son, Clarence Lee Turney; sister, Irma Watkins; brother, Edgar McCoy and one grandchild, Cindy McLeod.

She is survived by daughters, Cathy Gutierrez of Sanford, Barbara Jean Thomas of Sanford, Betty McLeod (Donnie)of Goldston and Phyllis Patterson of Sanford; son, Charles Ray Turney of Sanford; sister, Celia Norris of Sanford; brother, Bobby Leon McCoy (Darlene) of Carthage; twenty-one grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Anna loved fishing more than she loved to eat, but she loved her family most of all.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
