Bernard James Valure Jr.

Bernard James Valure, Jr., age 83, of Pinehurst passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst with family by his side.

Bernard was born on September 11, 1941 in Rockland County, New York to the late Bernard J. Valure, Sr. and Marjorie Caccetta Valure.

He is survived by his loving wife, Louise H. Valure; sons, Theodore Valure (Diane) of Carthage, NC, Bernard J. Valure, III of Palisade, CO, Christopher A. Valure (Janine) of Vass, NC; daughter, Deborah Valure of Elgin, IL; sister, Margaret Valure Edwards (Mark) of Roebuck, SC; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Bernard proudly served his country in the US Marines from 1960-1964.  Following his military career, he received his bachelor’s degree from Dominican College in Blauvelt, NY.  He later spent a 20 year career working with Abbott Laboratories, retiring in 1995.

Per his request, no services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project.
