Bobby Lee Apple

Bobby Lee Apple, age 85, of Lakeview, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, at FirstHealth Hospice House in Pinehurst, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 3pm at Lakeview Presbyterian Church in Lakeview with Pastor Julie Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2 until 3. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery with Military Honors.

Bobby was born in Moore County on April 3, 1937 to the late Lewis Blackburn Apple and Mable Newell Apple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carlton Apple.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Bobby was an outdoorsman who enjoyed working in his yard, fishing trips to the Outer Banks with family and friends and Quail Hunting with his brother Lewis. He was also an avid UNC Basketball fan. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Fleta Apple; daughters, Tonya Marion (Chris), Angie Kelly (Keith) both of Carthage; brother, Lewis Apple (Helen) of Lakeview; grandchildren, Colton, Josh (Sydney) and Brooke; great-grandchildren, Roddy and Avrie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeview Presbyterian Church in memory of Bobby Lee Apple.
