On Wednesday, July 5, Bobby Wayne Dillman, 68, of Vass, NC, passed away at Reid Heart Center with his family and friends by his side.
Bobby was a true outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish, especially in his beloved mountains of Virginia, where he was originally from. Bobby also loved his country and served in the United States Navy. He also had a passion for southern rock music, a love he shared with his grandchildren, Jade and Ryan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Trubie Dillman and Thelma Watkins of Virginia.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debby Long Dillman; sister, Sue Ratcliff and husband John, of Virginia; daughter Bobbi Leigh Dillman of Virginia; Stepdaughters, Amy Steele, Kimberly Hall, both of South Carolina; Pamela Marks and husband Brian Marks of Cameron; and grandchildren Brandon Steele, Austin Steele, Jade Marks, Ryan Marks and dear friends Lee, Lisa and Tré Parks of Virginia.
The family will be hosting a time of fellowship and celebration of life at his home at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 8. Food and refreshments will be available.
