Brenda Lucille (Garner) Douglas

Brenda Garner Douglas, age 79, of West End, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 4:00pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 3 until 4. Burial will follow in Yates-Thagard Baptist Church Cemetery.

Brenda was born in Moore County on September 28, 1944, to the late Laney Garner and Zula Patterson Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Pardue, grandchild, Lainey Douglas, brother, Herman Patterson.

Some of the things she loved, roosters, listening to gospel music, playing bingo, setting outside watching the birds and nature while eating her tomatoes and mayo. Brenda was a caregiver most of her life because she loved to be around the elderly and enjoyed their company. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Robbins (Jeff) of West End; son, Phillip Douglas (Brigitte) of Carthage; brother, Jerry Garner of Carthage; grandchildren, Dustin (Nevin), Ashley (Michael), Cameron, Bailey, Noah, Madison, Connor, Daniel, Dustin, Austin; seven great-grandchildren.
