Charlotte Eleanor (Frye) Priest

Charlotte Eleanor Frye Priest, age 78, of Carthage passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst surrounded by her loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at 3:30PM at Sanford Church of God in Sanford with Pastor Mike Horton and Bishop David Kimbrell officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 2:30-3:30PM.  Burial will follow in Cameron Community Cemetery.

Charlotte was born in Maysville, Arkansas on December 9, 1946, to the late Charley Andrew and Clarice Drake Frye.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, David Lamar Priest, brothers, Jimmie Frye, Danny Frye, Tony Frye and Dennis Frye, sister-in-law, Lois.

She was a Proverbs 31 woman who loved her Lord more than anything. Charlotte never missed a Sunday or Wednesday church service unless she absolutely had too. Her family was her heart. She was also known as Nanny, Sister and by her family as Aunt Sister.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years and he was the love of her life, David Leroy Priest; daughters, Melisa “Missy” Nickens (Tim) of Carthage and Tonya Siege (Jeff) of Missouri; grandchildren, Rebekah (Jacob), Samuel (Jessica), Blake, Sophia, Courtney (Brandon), Brianna (Justin) and Avery (Paige); great-grandchildren, Charlie, Whitton, Sawyer, Caleb, Della, Weston, Asher, Jason, Kayleigh, Raelynn and Brantley; brother, Gary Frye (Joneta) of Texas; sister-in-law, Louise Frye of Arkansas and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
