Clara "Kay" (Pope) Ledbetter

Clara “Kay” Pope Ledbetter, age 69, of Carthage, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025, at her home.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 1:00PM at Yates Thagard Baptist Church Cemetery in Whispering Pines with Pastor Eugene Ussery officiating. 

A visitation will be held at their home at 436 Apricot Lane, Carthage, NC 28327 on Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 6:00-8:00PM.

Kay was born in Pinehurst, NC on March 13, 1956, to the late Raymond and Vera Doby Pope. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Dwayne, of forty-nine years; daughter, Tammy Ledbetter Jackson (Russell); granddaughter, Megan Jackson and brother, Ronny Pope (Cheryl).
