Clara Mae Collins Hennings Obituary

Clara Mae Collins Hennings, age 77, of Carthage, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Greg Poplin officiating.

Clara was a born in Moore County on March 18, 1943 to the late Lee Jackson and Lillie Kimball Thomas. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Kelly Collins, Jr. and son, James Kelly Collins, III. 

Clara was a lifetime resident of Moore County and was known for her quick wit and smile. She will be surly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Henry Hennings; sisters, Janice Morton (Bob) of Greensboro, Jean Harrington of Pinehurst, Cathy Council of Lakeview and Cheryl Pope (Ronny) of Carthage; brothers, Billy Ray Thomas (Carolyn) of Aberdeen and Lee J. Thomas, Jr. (Jane) of Southern Pines; granddaughter, Kellie Marie Collins.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in memory of Clara Mae Hennings to FirstHealth Hospice Foundation, 150 Applecross Road, Pinehurst, NC 28374.
