Daniel Blake DeLong

Daniel Blake DeLong, age 37, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2023.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 11:00am at Cameron Irby Memorial Park in Vass, North Carolina with Military Honors officiating Pastor Eugene Ussery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the Town Hall of Vass and other time at the home.

Blake was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on November 6, 1985 to Dennis Edward DeLong (Sandra) of Fayetteville Malinda King Edmonds (Rodney) of Wagram.

He served honorably in the U.S. Army. Was a kind hearted person and loved to help others. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and cooking, drawing and loved his beach trips.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his children, Elijah DeLong of Wagram, Rayne DeLong of Carthage, Solomon DeLong of Shallotte, Gabriel DeLong also of Shallotte; sister, Haley Edmonds of Carthage; brothers, Dustin DeLong of Georgia, Dylan DeLong of Raleigh; paternal grandparents, Sylvia Delong of Fayetteville; maternal grandparents, Larry King and wife Linda, Gail Davis and husband Mike of Cameron.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dennis DeLong.
