David Lee Pilson

David Lee Pilson, age 71, of Cameron, passed away on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Firsthealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst, surrounded by his family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 2:00pm at Cameron United Methodist Church with Pastor William Altman officiating. Burial will follow at Cameron Community Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church from 1 until 2.

David was born in Sanford, North Carolina on June 15, 1950, to the late John Joseph and Hazel Stone Pilson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Yarborough Pilson, a step-daughter, Venise Dawn Smith, brothers, Ricky and John.

David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He loved life and was always smiling and happy he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his son, Michael Pilson and wife Shelly of Raeford; grandchildren, Michael Pilson of Cameron, Adrianna, Lucas and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Aidan and Athena.
