Dennis Ray Stone

Dennis Ray Stone, age 63, of Cameron, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at his home with family by his side.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel from 2 until 4.

Dennis was born in Sanford, North Carolina on February 17, 1960 to the late Paul William Stone and Margaret Spivey Stone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, Zachary and Adam Stone.

Dennis spent his working career as a long-distance truck driver. He was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed watching WWE wrestling and playing games on the television. Dennis loved playing his electric guitar and singing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Noreen Hunter Stone; children, Melissa Marie Hill (Jay) of Cameron, Traci Cameron (Van) of Aberdeen, Travis Poe of Sanford, Kathy Blake also of Sanford; grandchildren, Kaleb, Colt, Carter, Nolan; a special friend, Belinda Holt of Sanford and his beloved dogs, Zeus, Jason, Caine, Elora and Sassy.
