Donna Gaye Johnson

Donna Gaye Johnson, age 60, of Southern Pines, North Carolina passed away on October 25th after a long hard battle with Covid-19.

Donna joins her parents in heaven, Frank Wayne Johnson and Linda Nicks Johnson. She will be forever remembered by her three sisters, Lisa Johnson, Pam Johnson and “little” Donna Taylor, her 3 nieces Diane Buccos, Gabby Smith and Brittney Gregson, her 2 nephews Wayne Gregson and Cole Gregson, her 5 great nieces and nephews, Alexa, Rhett, Hadlee, Brenner and Coy, her doggy nephews, JuJu, Ruger and Boulder and all of the birds, deer, squirrels and raccoons.

If you knew Donna, you know that she marched to the beat of her own drum and was one of a kind, and so we are honoring her in exactly the way she asked us to. Donna is to be cremated and her ashes will be spread at a special location per Donna’s request.

 In lieu of a memorial service, we invite you to celebrate Donna’s life by going to her favorite restaurant, Bob’s Pizza in Vass and eating dinner with your family in honor of her.

 During her time on Earth, she was deeply loved and brought immense joy to those around her. Her memories will carry on through her surviving family members of the Johnson family and the Nicks family. Although Donna did not have any children of her own, she was a mother to many of us and her hookeypookies Kasi, Tasha, Morgan and Buddy will always keep her memory alive until we meet again.
