Edward Joseph Hadder Jr., age 52, of Cameron, received an unexpected assignment on Friday, August 11. 2023. Ed left North Carolina to continue to go work for Our Lord in Heaven, due to a vehicle accident.
Ed proudly served his country as a Navy corpsman attached to the USMC for four years.
After returning home he became a professional welder. Ed was highly respected in his trade and worked for Install Corporation for many years.
Ed enjoyed his time riding dirt bikes, working on vehicles and drinking his beer. He enjoyed a good time, was the life of any party, and opened his home to many, loved helping people and giving advice. Ed was loved deeply and will be sadly missed!!
He is survived by his loving children, Kaitlin Gonyea (Nick) of Colorado, Joshua Hadder of Cameron; sister, Rachel McPherson of Cameron; nephews, Chase Fogle, Austin McPherson; niece, Raylee McPherson; parents, Edward Hadder Sr., Kathleen and Billy Overton; uncles, Bill Hadder of Connecticut, Mike of Pennsylvania; aunt, Laura O'Donnnell of South Carolina, aunt Marie and many cousins; extended family Jeremy, Brandy, Coleman, Ethan, Amber, Stevie, Danielle & Clinton.
Ed was blessed with five dear friends in life, Perry, Rob, Aaron, Scott and Linda.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church fellowship hall from 4 until 6.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC with Military Honors.
