Ellen Frances (Council) Ring

Ellen Council Ring, age 95, of Carthage, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 3:00pm at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Don Edwards officiating.

Ellen was born in Harnett County on May 16, 1929, to the late John Pascal Council and Mary Vada Council. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lee Ring, sisters, Eunice Richardson, Mary Norris, Jessie Haney, brothers, Carl Christian, John P. Council “Pete”, Roger Council “Red”, Tommy Council.

She is survived by her children, Randy Ring (Cornelia) of Lakeview, Mike Ring (Wanda) of Whispering Pines, Tanis Thomas of Carthage, Amy Cameron (Tim) also of Carthage, Melissa Shaver (Marty) of Pinehurst; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
