Eric "Eddie" Edward Cheatham

Eric Edward “Eddie” Cheatham, age 58, of Sanford, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Sammy Frye officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Eddie was born in Moore County on March 23, 1964, to the late Edward Cheatham and Betty Ballard Coe.

Eddie enjoyed fishing, going to the beach, watching State Football and NASCAR and playing golf. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his son, Landon Edward Cheatham of Sanford; stepfather, Larry Coe of Cameron; sisters, Wanda Cheatham Feldt of Carthage, Sandra Frye (Sammy) of Carthage, Catherine Etheridge (Dee) of Holden Beach, Kelly Coe McMillen of Chapel Hill; stepsister, Kim Cooke (Ashley) of Cameron and stepbrothers, Kevin Coe (Tammy) of Vass, Keith Coe (Renee) of Indiana and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
