Obituary

Flossie McDonald Schwechten, age 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 5, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Jackson Springs Cemetery.

Flossie was born in Moore County on April 14, 1952, to the late Roosevelt McDonald and Lillian Campbell McDonald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Cook.

Flossie was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Whitaker of New York, Bobbie Steele, Lynda Johnston both of Florida; son, Robert Schwechten; sisters, Roseann McRae of Southern Pines, Kathleen Newman of Eagle Springs, Pauline Sweat of Carthage, Mary Mashburn of Cameron; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
