On September 22, 2025, Foy Clyde LaForce, of Carthage, NC, entered the Kingdom of Heaven and was welcomed into the loving arms of his Savior.
Foy lived his 78 years as a faithful servant of God, a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather, and a steadfast friend to many.
Foy was born on March 19, 1947, in Dickenson County, Virginia to the late Bascom and Nancy LaForce. He found great joy in his family and cherished every moment spent with them. Whether gathered around the table, working with his hands, or sharing words of wisdom and encouragement, Foy was a source of strength, laughter, and comfort to those he loved most. His gentle spirit and Godly example will continue to inspire his family for generations to come.
Foy is preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Pamela, Helen Neece, Edna Neece & brothers: Ricky, Basil & Roy (all of Dante, Virginia).
He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Donna LaForce; his daughters Sharon Morgan (Randy), of Coeburn, Virginia and Kimberly Bowman (Jonathan) of Carthage, North Carolina; grandchildren Randy Morgan (Sierra) & Bristol Bowman; great grandchildren Noah & Eli Morgan. He is also survived by his faithful four-legged companion, Codi. His family was the light of his life, and he poured his love and wisdom into them daily.
A visitation service will be held at Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 24 from 6-8 PM.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 26 at 2:00 PM at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, Virginia with the Reverend Donnie Pickett officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Greenwood Acres Cemetery.
Though Foy has left this earthly home, his faith assures us that he is now at peace in the eternal presence of the Lord. His life on earth was a testimony to the goodness of God, and his passing is a reminder of the promise of everlasting life for those who believe.
