Gary Richard Bowman

Gary Rick Bowman aka “Slick Rick”, age 43, of Sanford, passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021.

A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Jonesboro Cemetery in Sanford with Rev. Robbie Gibson officiating. Family will receive friends after the graveside.

Rick was born in Sanford, North Carolina on June 21, 1977 to Gary William Bowman and Joyce Pilson Weatherford. He spent his working career in the landscaping business. He touched many people in some small way throughout his short, yet very memorable life. Rick had a special walk and smile and always was a happy go lucky character. He was a loving son, brother and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he is also survived by his sister, Jennifer Godfrey (Eddie) of Sanford; uncle, Donald Ray Bowman (Carolyn); aunts, Betty Estes and Cathy Williams; cousins, Kelly Stacey and Mark Williams
